The Frozen star’s agent has confirmed the name of the TV series, ‘Iceberg’, as the main character in the Disney film that is to be directed by Anna Kendrick.
In a statement, agent Alex Pryce said the character will be played by Kendrick, who will play Elsa.
The film will feature a new storyline set in a frozen landscape, where the world is still at peace.
Pryce said it was a name that Kendrick would have wanted to be involved with, and that she would be excited to be part of the film, which will be released in the US on November 10.
“She was so keen to get involved in this film, and she is excited to play the leading role in the Frozen film, so we are looking forward to sharing more details with you about the film soon,” he said.
“Kristen is a talented actor and I have known her for many years, and I am excited to work with her again.
She is a great director and we look forward to filming the film with her soon.”
Kendrick’s previous film roles include The Secret Life of Pets, Disney Channel’s The Real O’Neals, and Disney Channel series Anna & Mary.
Kendricks first film role came in 2013 with the film Inside Out, where she played a character called Snow White.
She has since worked on films such as A Very Merry Christmas, Finding Dory, Captain America: Civil War, and Thor: Ragnarok.
Anna Kendrick’s career in film dates back to the 1980s, when she played the character of Elsa in the blockbuster Disney-Pixar movie Frozen.
In 2017, Kendrick won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as the title character in Disney-Marvel’s The Little Mermaid.
Kristen Bell and Josh Gad have also appeared in Disney films, with the two playing the title role in The Secret World of Arrietty.
