A new app from Next Big Futures aims to stream a wide variety of TV shows and movies for free, but there’s a catch.
Users will need a subscription to the service, and a $19.99 annual fee for that.
The app was first announced in late November, and the first beta was released in February.
The app currently supports over 300 TV shows, including The Walking Dead, Hannibal, House of Cards, and more.
It is not yet clear whether or not the app will launch on Hulu or Amazon Prime.
The streaming service is currently not available in the United States.
According to Next Big Games CEO Daniel Schmid, the company plans to make its own TV streaming app, but not at this point.
“At this point, the TV streaming ecosystem is very fragmented,” he said.
“There’s an app for Hulu and an app that’s going to be built for Amazon Prime, but it’s not the only option.
We’re not going to just open Pandora’s box and start playing with the possibilities.”
The app will also support streaming movies and TV shows from other providers, but that will take time.
“We’re very excited to work with the big players, including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Amazon Video, Vudu, and others, but also other players in the space,” Schmid said.
“Eventually, we want to open Pandora for free,” he added.
“And then we want people to go to our app.”
